国際入試担当からの説明
９月28日に、カナダ屈指の名門大学であるブリティッシュコロンビア大学（UBC）の国際入試担当の方が本校を訪問、IBコースの1年生・2年生全員に対して、UBCの魅力、カナダの大学の仕組み、出願・奨学金などについて説明いただきました。UBCは世界大学ランク４０位、世界１４０か国からの留学生を受け入れる北米ナンバーワンのDiversifiedな大学で、充実した学部プログラム、様々な人々との交流の中での多様な学び、世界各国への留学機会の提供などにより、現トルドー首相ほか歴代のカナダ首相やノーベル賞受賞者を多く輩出しています。
当日はすべて英語で（素晴らしくスピード感あふれるものでした）、動画をところどころに織り込んだ印象深いプレゼンテーションにて進められました。まさに世界トップクラスで戦っているレベルの一端を体験した思いです。
モットーは“Tuum est”（ラテン語）で「あなたの物」「あなた次第」
【Study Abroad】Visitor from the University of British Columbia
On September 28th, a representative from the University of British Columbia (UBC), one of Canada's leading prestigious universities, visited our school. They provided explanations to all first and second-year students in the IB program about the allure of UBC, the structure of Canadian universities, application processes, scholarships, and more. UBC is ranked 40th in the world university rankings and is a diversified university that accepts students from 140 countries. They offer a rich variety of faculty programs and diverse learning experiences through interactions with various individuals. UBC also provides opportunities for studying abroad worldwide. Many Canadian Prime Ministers, including the current Prime Minister Trudeau, and Nobel Prize laureates have emerged from UBC.
On that day, all the explanations were conducted in English (in an impressively fast-paced manner) and delivered through an engaging presentation that included videos at various points. It truly felt like experiencing a glimpse of the level at which they compete on the global stage.
