９月６日に、アメリカ ペンシルバニア州にあるピッツバーグ大学の国際入試マネージャーが本校を訪問し、IBコースの1年生·2年生全員に対して、アメリカの大学に留学するために必要とされるエッセーの書き方の手ほどき、またピッツバーグ大学の紹介並びに出願の方法·条件などを説明いただきました。ピッツバーグ大学は世界大学ランキングのトップ１００に入り、卒業生は平和賞のワンガリ·マータイさんを含むノーベル賞受賞者から
ポップアートのキース·へリング氏、演歌歌手のジェロさんまで、多くの分野で活躍をしています。
国際入試マネージャーからの大学紹介
当日はすべて英語でプレゼン、ストロークが行われましたが、アメリカの大学留学を希望する生徒、また、他国の大学留学、日本の大学進学を希望する生徒にとっても、自分のコアとなる価値、アイデンティティ、そして自分のSuperpowerなど自分らしさをしっかりと伝えるエッセイの書き方のヒントを学び、とてもプラスになったと思います。

[Study Abroad] University of Pittsburgh Visits Our School
On September 6, the International Enrollment Manager of the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, U.S.A., visited our school and gave all first and second year IB course students instruction on how to write the essay required to study at several American universities, as well as an introduction to the University of Pittsburgh and its application process and requirements. The University of Pittsburgh is ranked in the top 100 universities in the world, and its alumni include Nobel laureates such as Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai and pop artist Keith Haring , and singer Jero (Japanese Enka).
The presentation and Q&A were all given in English, and for students who wish to study abroad in the U.S., as well as for students who wish to study abroad at universities in other countries or in Japan, they will learn how to describe their core values, identity, and their own superpower and other aspects of who they are. It was a very positive experience for them to learn tips on how to write an admissions essay.
